Crafted in beautifully warm 9ct rose gold, this striking vintage ring features a rich blue oval-cut sapphire, flanked by two sparkling round-cut diamonds.
 
All three stones are set directly into the substantial gold band in a classic gypsy-style setting, giving the ring its wonderfully smooth, low-profile silhouette. The combination of deep sapphire blue, bright diamonds and rosy gold is particularly beautiful, and although hallmarked in 1992, the design takes clear inspiration from much earlier Victorian gypsy rings.
 
The broad, gently tapering band measures approximately 7mm at its widest point, giving it a wonderfully substantial appearance on the finger without feeling overly heavy. At 4.2g, there's a lovely quality and presence to the piece.
 
Fully hallmarked for 9ct gold (375) and assayed in Birmingham in 1992, with the sponsor/maker's mark MJJ.
