Victorian 9ct Gold Front and Back Locket with Enamel Detailing

Victorian 9ct Gold Front and Back Locket with Enamel Detailing

£270.00Price

A rare and beautifully crafted Victorian front and back locket, made in 9ct gold and dating to circa 1860. This style of locket features gold to both the front and reverse, a highly desirable construction that reflects the quality and craftsmanship of mid-Victorian jewellery.

The oval locket is decorated with fine enamel detailing to the front, creating a striking contrast against the warm gold and adding visual depth to the design. The reverse is finished in gold with beautiful engraving, making it suitable for wear on either side. The locket opens to reveal space for photographs or keepsakes, preserving its original sentimental purpose.

Dating from the mid-19th century, this piece is now over 160 years old, yet remains in extremely  good condition, with minor wear consistent with age.

A significant and elegant Victorian locket, ideal for collectors or those seeking a genuine piece of 19th-century jewellery.

Please note, the chain shown is not included with this locket.
