A beautifully crafted antique 9ct gold heart padlock charm, dating to 1899–1900 and full of timeless charm. Originally designed as a clasp for an antique bracelet or Albert chain, heart padlocks have become highly sought-after as pendants and charms, loved for their romantic symbolism and enduring appeal.
 
This beautifully proportioned example features a polished heart-shaped body with classic screw-head detailing to the front and a traditional working clasp. The reverse is engraved with the name 'Myrie', giving this wonderful piece an added sense of history and individuality. Fully hallmarked for 9ct gold at the Birmingham Assay Office, this piece bears the GEW maker's mark and is stamped 375, with additional hallmarks present on the arched moving clasp. Measuring approximately 22mm x 14mm and weighing 3.1g, it has a lovely substantial feel while remaining perfectly suited to wear as a pendant or as the centrepiece of a charm bracelet.
