A wonderfully sentimental little piece of antique jewellery, dating to around the First World War era.

Crafted in 9ct yellow gold, this charming circular glass locket features a clear glass front held within a simple polished gold frame, finished with a traditional ball-shaped suspension and generous circular bale.

Originally designed to hold a tiny photograph or personal keepsake behind the glass, the pendant can be made completely personal to its next owner. Add a photograph of someone special, a tiny pressed flower, a handwritten snippet or another little memento, something meaningful that can be kept close and worn around the neck.

The original images have been removed, leaving the pendant ready for its next chapter and whatever its new owner chooses to place inside.

Measuring approximately 20mm in diameter and 27mm high including the bale, it is beautifully petite and would look gorgeous worn alone from a fine gold chain or layered alongside other antique charms and pendants.

The pendant weighs approximately 2.82g and is marked for 9ct gold.

CONDITION: Excellent Antique Condition - In excellent antique condition for its age, particularly considering this piece dates to around the First World War era and is now over 100 years old. The 9ct gold frame and suspension remain beautifully presented, with only light surface scratches, small marks and gentle signs of wear consistent with age and previous use. The glass panels are remarkably well preserved, with some light surface marks visible on close inspection, but nothing that detracts from the overall appearance or charm of the piece. The antique pendant retains its lovely original character and presents beautifully, while the generous circular bale remains intact and bears the 9ct gold mark. As with any genuine antique piece of this age, there are small imperfections and signs of its history, which I feel only add to its charm. Overall, a wonderfully well-preserved example of an unusual and increasingly hard-to-find antique piece.
