A beautifully elegant vintage gold bangle, dating to 1976 and covered with the most gorgeous scrolling engraved detail. Crafted in 9ct yellow gold, the front section is intricately decorated with a sweeping foliate and scroll design, beautifully cut into the warm gold and catching the light as the bangle moves. The reverse has been left smooth and highly polished, creating a lovely contrast against the ornate engraving.

The bangle has a classic hinged construction, opening at the side and fastening with a neat tongue-and-box clasp. It also retains its delicate safety chain, offering that little bit of additional security when worn.

At approximately 6cm in diameter and weighing 9.7g, it has a lovely presence on the wrist while still feeling elegant enough for everyday wear. I particularly love the width of this one, substantial enough to show off all that beautiful engraving without feeling overly chunky.

Inside you'll find a beautifully crisp set of British hallmarks, including the 375 mark for 9ct gold, Birmingham assay mark and date letter for 1976, alongside the S&P maker's mark.

CONDITION: Excellent Vintage Condition - In lovely vintage condition, with light surface scratches, marks and signs of wear to the gold consistent with its age and previous use. The engraved foliate and scroll decoration remains beautifully crisp and well defined, while the plain reverse retains a lovely polished finish. The hinge, tongue-and-box clasp and safety chain are all present and appear well preserved. There are some fine surface scratches visible under close inspection, particularly to the polished areas, as you would expect from a piece approaching 50 years old.
